The 4th Annual Scientific Meeting of AHAD-AP is hosted by the Department of Clinical Haematology, St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru, India.

St. John’s Medical College Hospital

St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences (SJNAHS) is a self-financing private Institution. St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru was established in 1963 by the CBCI with the aim of training healthcare personnel committed to serving the poor in the margins, was dedicated as a memorial of the XXXVIII International Eucharistic Congress held in Bombay in 1964 and named after St. John the Baptist, the Patron of Pope John XXIII, who was an ardent supporter of this initiative of the Catholic Church in India.

Spread over 132 acres of verdant campus in the salubrious climate of the Garden City of Bengaluru, this institution stands testimony to the purpose for which it was established and consists of:

  • A Medical College - counted as one of the best in the nation
  • A state of the art Hospital with 1350 beds for all medical and surgical departments including super-specialty departments
  • A top-class College of Nursing
  • A Research Institute - the first in a medical school - with the most modern facilities including a Biorepository and An Institute of Health Care Management and Paramedical Studies.

Venue

The AHAD-AP Annual Scientific Meeting will be held at the St. John’s Auditorium, St John’s Hospital Campus, Koramangala, Bangalore - 560034 (Opposite BDA Complex). The main auditorium which comes with around 1,200+ fixed seating will be used as the Hall A for NHU & AHAD-AP ASM 2024. The two rooms on the first floor with capacity of 100+ will be utilised for industry sponsored symposia spread across the three days.

Pope Paul Auditorium, which is about 2-3 mins walking distance from the main St. John’s Auditorium will be used as the Hall B for the meetings.

How to get to the venue from the Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru:

There are two terminals in Bengaluru called Terminal 1 & Terminal 2. All the options mentioned below are available at both the terminals.

Taxi

The most convenient way to get to your destination from the airport is to hail taxi.

Airport taxies are available at the arrival terminal of the Bengaluru airport. These metered taxies are run by the state government and are safe at any point of time.

App based cabs, Uber & Ola are also available and are much preferred mode of travel too.

The average charges from the airport to the venue must be around Rs. 1,200 to 1,600/-.

Whereas, the taxi counters before exiting the arrival terminal like Orix, Carzonrent, etc. will be on a much higher side, and are safe & reliable options.

Airport Bus - Vayu Vajra

The BMTC Vayu Vajra AC bus service is an efficient and inexpensive mode of transport. The fleet of air-conditioned buses offers seamless service to and from the city. You will find directional signage outside the arrival terminal.

However, please note that you may not find a bus available all the time for the destination you want to get to. You may have to get down and take another cab/ auto/ tuktuk for the final leg.
