The Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders-Asia Pacific (AHAD-AP) is pleased to announce that the three specialized in-person workshops on Haemophilia and Allied Bleeding Disorders will be held from September 10-12, 2026, at Bangkok.

We invite interested Healthcare providers (HCPs) involved in haemophilia care across the Asia-Pacific to APPLY for these workshops.

Musculoskeletal management of Haemophilia Workshop

Basic Coagulation Laboratory for Diagnosis of Bleeding Disorders

  1. Be actively involved in haemophilia care.
  2. Recommended by HTC in-charges and invited by AHAD-AP.
  3. Preference will be given to new or expanding HTCs and HCPs starting careers in haemophilia care.
  4. Must not have attended the 2024and 2025 in-person CCH workshops.
  5. Must be an active AHAD-AP member.
  6. Comfortable with spoken and written English.
  1. Be actively involved in haemophilia care.
  2. Recommended by HTC in-charges and invited by AHAD-AP.
  3. Preference will be given to new or expanding HTCs and HCPs starting careers in haemophilia care.
  4. Must not have attended the 2024and 2025 in-person MSK workshops.

  6. Comfortable with spoken and written English.
  1. Works in hospital-based laboratory managing patients with bleeding disorders, preference will be given to those actively involved in haemophilia care.
  2. Recommended by HTC in-charges and invited by AHAD-AP.
  3. Preference will be given to new or expanding HTCs and HCPs starting careers in haemophilia care.
  4. Must not have attended the 2024 or2025 in-person Lab workshops; exceptions may be considered by the committee for valid reasons, subject to slot availability.
  5. Comfortable with spoken and written English.
  6. The applicant’s lab must meet at least one of the following:
    • More than 10 PT and APTT tests weekly (no mixing studies).
    • More than 10 PT and APTT tests weekly (with mixing studies).
    • Performing PT, APTT, mixing studies, and factor assays but no inhibitor testing.

    We encourage the applicant to be an AHAD-AP member.

Selection Process Travel and Accommodation Support
1. Two slots are available for each country/region/territory.
* For the Laboratory Workshop, applications shall be accepted strictly on a paired basis per institution, consisting of one Pathologist/Haematologist and one Laboratory Technologist/Scientist. Individual applications will not be considered.
1. Partial or full grants for travel and accommodation are available.
2. Applications will be reviewed, and selected participants will receive a formal invitation letter from AHAD-AP. 2. Funds are limited, so participants are encouraged to explore supplementary funding sources.

  2. Recommended by HTC incharges and invited by AHAD-AP.
  3. As a basic course, preference will be given to emerging HTCs and HCPs starting careers in haemophilia care.
  4. Should not have attended the in-person CCH/MSK/Lab workshops of 2023.
  5. Preferably a member of AHAD-AP.
  6. Comfortable with spoken and written English.
  7. For Lab Workshop, the lab should at least fulfil one of the below:
    • More than 10 PT and APTT per week but not doing mixing studies.
    • More than 10 PT and APTT per week and doing mixing studies.
    • Doing PT, APTT, mixing studies and factor assays but no inhibitor testing
Selection Process
  1. Two slots for each country/region/territory, to be filled on first come, first served.
  2. As the seats are very limited, all applications will be reviewed, and the final selected participants will receive a formal invitation letter from AHAD-AP.
Travel and Accommodation Grant Support for travel and accommodation (full or partial) will be available for those requiring it. As funds are limited, we urge you to also look for supplementary funding sources.
