The Virtual Hands-On Advanced Coagulation Laboratory for Diagnosis of Bleeding Disorders Workshop was organised by AHAD-AP in collaboration with Christian Medical College Vellore, India from 30th January to 2nd February 2023.

The objectives of the workshop were:

1) To train laboratories already performing basic coagulation tests to further expand and increase the reliability of their repertoire of tests especially for inhibitors in haemophilia and diagnosis of VWD along with severe platelet function disorders and act as a referral centre for bleeding disorder in their respective region.

2) To train the laboratory with the target of the lab being capable of being a training centre in their respective regions.

The virtual workshop had a total attendance of 89 participants from 22 centers from 6 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

This educational activity was supported by an unrestricted grant from Takeda and Roche.

The technical and logistic support was received from Stago.
