On 26th April, AHAD-AP organised a virtual workshop under the theme “Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders”. The primary aim of the workshop was to raise awareness and promote discussion around the challenges faced by women and girls with bleeding disorders. The session targeted clinicians, nurses and allied healthcare professionals involved in haemophilia care from across the Asia Pacific region.

The workshop delved into a series of focused sessions addressing both clinical and psychosocial aspects of care for women and girls with bleeding disorders followed by dedicated discussion and quiz session.

The framework was developed aligning with the theme of World Haemophilia Day 2025 and feedback received from the participants during the previous workshops.

The Workshop course leads were:
Dr. Jameela Sathar, Hospital Ampang, Ampang, Malaysia
Dr. Liane Khoo, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia

A total of 282 registrations were received from healthcare professionals across the Asia Pacific regions. On the day of the workshop, 79 participants attended the live streaming from 14 Asia Pacific countries and regions.
