DESCRIPTION:Virtual Workshop\nComprehensive Care of Haemophilia (Basic)\n12th & 19th March 2022 \nThe Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders-Asia Pacific (AHAD-AP) is delighted to welcome you to the Comprehensive Care of Haemophilia (Basic) Virtual Workshop on the 12th and 19th of March 2022 with focus on the first day (12th March) to include nursing and the second (19th March) musculoskeletal management of haemophilia. \nThe Comprehensive Care training program for Haemophilia has brought together multi-disciplinary health professionals from the Asia Pacific region\, to share experiences\, learn together and develop skills in the care of Persons with Haemophilia (PWH). \nAt this time when many continue to fight the COVID 19 pandemic\, we have chosen to conduct the workshop on a virtual platform. \nAlthough this limits our direct interactions\, we shall explore different opportunities to share\, teach and learn. There will be opportunity for interactive discussion with participants attending in real-time and faculty support provided online for those who subsequently stream the sessions. \nOur aim in organizing the workshop is to strengthen and broaden knowledge and skills in diagnosis\, assessment and planning care for people with haemophilia (PWH) by a comprehensive care team. The target audience are the clinicians\, nurses and allied health care professionals involved in the care of haemophilia from across the Asia Pacific regions and countries. \nIn response to recent feedback on our virtual meetings\, we have planned short “sharp” sessions with emphasis on core principles of haemophilia management and opportunity for discussion. DESCRIPTION:APHWG organized a 5-day Training of Trainers’ Workshop on Laboratory Diagnosis in Haemophilia at Christian Medical College\, Vellore\, India from 19-23th February\, 2018. \nThe objective of the workshop was to provide a model of laboratory workshop and train trainers as local expertise\,who can conduct and run laboratory workshops in the Asia Pacific region.  \nQuality activities in testing and blood product assessment were also addressed. 15 pathologists\, laboratory scientists and technologists from seven countries took part in the workshop.

DESCRIPTION:With the vision of improving care for people with haemophilia and other hereditary disorders in the Asia Pacific Region\, the APHWG organized a workshop on comprehensive care of haemophilia for physicians & nurses at the National Pediatric Hospital (NPH)\, Phnom Penh\, Cambodia from 18-20th March\, 2019. \nThe workshop was organized in collaboration with the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) and the National Pediatric Hospital\, Cambodia.\nA total of 27 participants from 11 countries in the Asia Pacific region attended the workshop.\nThe main training faculties were Dr.Alison Street\, Dr. Alok Srivastava\, Dr.Joyce Ching Mei Lam\, Dr.Pradeep Poonnoose and Dr.Chean Sophal from different institutes/countries of the region. This educational activity was supported by an independent medical educational grant from Shire.

DESCRIPTION:APHWG conducted a three day Basic Coagulation Workshop on Laboratory diagnosis of Haemophilia from March 18-20th\, 2019 at National Pediatric Hospital (NPH)\, Phnom Penh\, Cambodia.The workshop was organized in collaboration with WFH and National Pediatric Hospital (NPH)\, Phnom Penh\, Cambodia. \nThe aim of the workshop was to offer training to key selected laboratory specialists on the diagnosis of Haemophilia and von Willebrand disease. \nA total of 30 Participants from various professional background such as medical laboratory technology\, pathology\, lab sciences attended the workshop. The participants were selected from 11 countries across the Asia pacific region. \nThe main training faculties were Dr. Sukesh C Nair\, Dr. Rutvi Dave from the Christian Medical College\, Vellore\, India along with technical personnel from the sponsor. \nThe workshop was supported by Stago Diagnostica.

DESCRIPTION:The APHWG organized a workshop on laboratory diagnosis of bleeding disorders with special focus on haemophilia in collaboration with the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) and the National Health Laboratory (NHL)\, Yangon\, Myanmar from October 9-11\, 2017.\nThe international participants were identified by regional program managers of the WFH and local participants by NHL. 28 participants representing 8 countries of the Asia Pacific region participated in the workshop and hailed from professional background of Medical laboratory technology\, pathology\, lab sciences. \nThe main training faculty was Dr. Tulasi Geevar from the Christian Medical College\, Vellore\, India along with technical personnel from the sponsor. \nThe program was supported by Stago Diagnostica. \n\n\n\n\n\nI am very glad to participate in the workshop organised by APHWG. We do not get such a chance to participate in international workshop. The knowledge I have gained will improve my protocol and SOP. DESCRIPTION:17 participants from 11 countries gathered to participate in the workshop on the Management of Musculoskeletal Complications in Haemophilia at Christian Medical College\, Vellore\, India from November 13-17\, 2017. \nPhysiotherapists\, Orthopedic surgeons and Physical Medicine Rehabilitation specialists were part of the workshop.The workshop was a great opportunity to learn about the contemporary approaches in MSK management in Asia Pacific Region which will enhance access to improved services for the People with Haemophilia (PWH). \nWorkshop participants included representatives from Bangladesh\, India\, Maldives\, Malaysia\, Mauritius\, Myanmar\, Nepal\, Sri Lanka\, Thailand\, Syria and Vietnam. \nThe objectives of the workshop included: \n\nDevelopment of knowledge and skills in the comprehensive assessment and management of MSK complications in Hemophilia.\nCompetence in the assessment of core outcome measures in Haemophilia.\nFamiliarity with disease-specific guidelines and recent advances in Haemophilia\ncare.
